2 Layer Lasagna

This is a recipe our family has been using for years. As the old saying goes, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it"! Sometimes the end product may look a little messy but trust me, it tastes way better than it looks!
It is very simple to make, with few ingredients. Preparation takes about 20 mins. Bake time- 1hr.

Ingredients:
1 lb Hamburger (Can use more if you like more meat, up to another 1/2lb without changing recipe)
Lasagna Noodles
1 block Philadelphia Cream Cheese (softened)
1 small container of small curd cottage cheese
1 cup Kraft Mozzarella Cheese
1 cup Kraft Cheddar Cheese
1 Regular Size Jar of Ragu Old World Style pasta sauce

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Prepare Lasagna noodles as directed on box.

Brown hamburger in skillet. (I always add 1 cup water to help cut down on grease)

While preparing noodles and hamburger, in medium sized bowl combine softened cream cheese and cottage cheese. Mix well. Mixture will be thick. Set aside.

When noodles are finished boiling, I always immediately drain and refill with cold water. Set aside.
Drain hamburger, and add pasta sauce. Mix well.

Layer noodles on bottom of baking dish.

Add hamburger & pasta sauce. Spread out evenly.
Next, add cream cheese and cottage cheese mixture. Spread out evenly.

Sprinkle Mozzarella and Cheddar cheese evenly over cottage cheese. (Sometimes before doing this, I add salt and pepper or parmesan cheese too.)
Cover with another layer of noodles. Make sure the noodles don't overlap, they expand while baking.

Cover with aluminum foil and bake for one hour. Remove from oven and let cool for at least 15 minutes or it will be very soupy. Remember, it may appear a little messy, but it is the best lasagna recipe I have had my hands on!

Enjoy~!
